Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at Info@mzansiflavours.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Items are placed in a zip lock bag which is labelled with contents, allergens and best before date. It is then placed in a insulated wool pouch which is covered with dura cool ice packs which help to keep contents chilled perishables at temperatures of 2 - 8°C for up to 48 hours. It is then placed in a double walled box and sealed. It is then shipped with DPD who uses temperature-controlled shipping methods to maintain the quality of frozen food during transit.

The frozen products will remain at their best if stored under refrigeration (4°C or below) and consumed before the best before date. If frozen (-18°C) before the best before date, the products will keep for up to 9 months. Once thawed, do not refreeze.

Once an order is placed, the items will be made freshly which will take 1-2 days depending on how large the order is. Once completed, it will then be shipped off the following morning with either DPD or Royal Mail.

DPD typically takes next-day delivery for most parcels within the UK, ensuring they arrive by the end of the next working day, usually between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. For frozen food deliveries, DPD Food Express usually delivers on the next working day. However, delivery times can vary based on factors such as distance, time of booking, and specific service options chosen.

If Royal Mail is used, your parcel should arrive at its UK destination within 48 hours. Please note that delivery times can vary based on your parcel's destination, the time of year, and unexpected events like weather or operational issues that are beyond our control.

- Each curry is 1 serving per order placed (packaged in a 500ml container)

- The curries on offer are for hot ready-made orders for those who are London-based so they can be enjoyed at their best quality on the day. However, the curries can still be frozen and reheated later if preferred by customer.

- If you are placing an order outside of London, the curries can still be ordered as they will be freshly prepared, then frozen immediately to lock in flavour and quality before being sent to you. Many customers find this works really well, and the curries reheat beautifully at home.

- To reheat the curry at home, first defrosted curry and placed in a small pot on the stove over a low medium heat until fully heated. Mix every few minutes to make sure curry is evenly heated and does not stick to the base of the pot.
